The Top Ten Fastest Cars in the World (As Per 2020)

I am extremely sorry for not writing sooner as to not knowing what to write about. Today's entry is long and for people who like cars. I will be talking about the top ten fastest cars in the world (as per 2020)! I love cars and am happy to share them with all of you. The pictures of each car will be below each description. I will also be providing a fun fact with each car. Last thing, please tell me which one was your favorite in the comments! Just so you know I like the Bugatti Chiron Sport, Bugatti Veyron Super Sport, and the Hennessey Venom F5.

#10. The Bentley Continental GT W12

This car is pretty fast and can go a top of 207 miles per hour (mph). It has an enhanced version of a 6.0-liter twin-turbocharged W12 TSI engine and can accelerate from 0 to 60 mph in 3.6 seconds. Also, the Continental GT W12 has an output of 626 horsepower and 664 pound-feet of torque. Fun Fact: the Continental GT W12 was released in 2017 but is a top ten 2020 car. Impressive!

#9. The McLaren Senna

The Senna has a top of 208 mph. The Senna also has a lightweight carbon fiber monocoque design and engine. The supercar is powered by a 4.0-liter twin-turbocharged V8 engine that makes 789 horsepower and 590 lb-ft of torque. It has a top speed of 208 mph and can go from 0 to 60 mph in 2.7 seconds. Fun Fact: This car was named after a Brazilian Formula One race car driver, Ayton Senna.

#8. The Chevrolet Corvette ZR1

The ZR1 has a top of 212 mph. It also has a big supercharged 6.2-liter V8 engine that gives 755 horsepower and 715 lb-ft torque to this car. The car can accelerate from 0 to 60 mph in 2.85 seconds. Fun Fact: This is the fastest Corvette model in the world and ever made.

#7. Aston Martin Valkyrie

This particular Aston Martin is a luxury hybrid sports car and has a top speed of 250 mph. The car has a 6.5-liter V12 engine that gives 1,130 horsepower and 664 lb-ft torque. It can accelerate from 0 to 60 mph in 2.5 seconds. Fun Fact: Aston Martin's code name for this car is "Nebula."

#6. Bugatti Chiron Sport

Bugatti's are known for their power and speed and this car in particular has a powerful top speed of 261 mph. This car is related to another Bugatti car called simply the Chiron. They both have the same 8.0-liter quad-turbocharged W16 engine and they both get 1,479 horsepower and 1,180 lb-ft torque from their engine. One difference between them is that the Chiron Sport is 40 pounds less than the Chiron which makes the Sport much faster. It also goes from 0 to 60 mph in just 2.3 seconds. Fun Fact: Bugatti Automobiles S.A.S sound like an Italian company but they are actually a French company!

#5. Bugatti Veyron Super Sport

The fact that two Bugatti cars are on the top 10 fastest cars list show that the manufacturers and the company are very smart. This Bugatti is significantly faster than the previous one and has a top speed of 268 mph and can accelerate from 0 to 60 mph in just 2.4 seconds. This car has a W16 turbo-charged engine with a power output of 1,184 horsepower and 1,100 lb-ft of torque. Fun Fact: The super car is electronically limited to 258 mph so that its tires do not disintegrate.

#4. Koenigsegg Agera RS

This car is a hypercar and has a top speed of 278 mph. It also features a 5.0-liter twin-turbocharged V8 engine that generates a max power output of 1,341 horsepower and 1,010 lb-ft torque. Due to a carbon fiber inlet manifold coupled with aluminum construction, the hypercars' weight is 1,395 kg. This Koenigsegg can accelerate from -0 to 62 mph in 2.9 seconds. Fun Fact: It was the world's fastest car in 2017.

#3. Koenigsegg Jesko

Much like the previous Koenigsegg, this is also a hypercar and it has 5.0-liter twin-turbocharged V8 engine that gives 1,289 horsepower while the car is on regular gas or a crazy alternative 1,600 horsepower on special E85 biofuel along with 1,106 lb-ft torque. The car accelerates from 0 to 60 mph in 2.5 mph and has a large top speed of 300 mph. Fun Fact: This car was named after the company's founder's father, Jesko von Koenigsegg.

#2. SSC Tuatara

Not much is known about the racing car company SSC but this particular car made by them is powerful, so fast that it is second on the list. Powered by a bespoke twin-turbo 5.9 liter V8 engine, it deserves to be recognized on this list. The cars' engine delivers 1,750 horsepower on E85 fuel and 1,350 horsepower on 91 octane racing fuel. SSC says that the top speed of the hypercar is 300 mph and that it can accelerate from 0 to 60 mph in 2.5 seconds. Fun Fact: It was engineered and assembled in collaboration with another company, Nelson Racing Engines.

#1. Hennessey Venom F5

This is the moment we've all been waiting for, the fastest car in the world people! Capable of reaching speeds of a top of 301 mph, the Hennessey Venom F5 was made by the company Hennessey Special Vehicles. The Venom F5 has a twin-turbo V8 engine that is also nicknamed "Fury" because it delivers a crazy 1,817 horsepower and 1,193 lb-ft torque. From 0 to 60 mph, the Hennessey can accelerate on it in under 2 seconds! Fun Fact: The whole description! Also the fact that it is the fastest car in the world.
